Monitoring of Logistics Operations with Drones

A large-scale project for operational monitoring and aerial filming of a seaport and container terminal. Using UAVs, we provided the client with a detailed visualization of cargo flows, an assessment of storage zone occupancy, and prepared unique presentation materials for corporate use.

Seaports and container terminals are infrastructure facilities characterized by an extremely high intensity of heavy equipment, railway transport, and cargo movement. The main challenge for operational management is the continuous control of storage area occupancy, the safety of loading and unloading operations, and logistical coordination. The goal of our project was to create overview orthomosaics to assess container stack loads, monitor truck queues at checkpoints, and conduct visual inspections of port cranes without disrupting the facility's active work cycle. Additionally, the client required dynamic footage of giant container ships for a brand presentation of the logistics hub.

Hub Scale Presentation and Operational Control
Aerial video capture in Ultra HD quality showcases the synchronized operations of port infrastructure from unique perspectives. Our pilots executed precise flights directly along the sides of cargo vessels and between container rows. Such dynamic content allows logistics and shipping companies to visually demonstrate to clients and partners the reliability, scale, and speed of cargo processing at their terminals.

Inventory and Infrastructure Safety
High-resolution aerial photography enables rapid assessment of terminal occupancy, verification of markings on the upper tiers of container stacks, and detection of potential structural damage. Using UAVs allows the port's security service to conduct regular monitoring of remote berths, railway tracks, and the perimeter in a matter of minutes.

Integrating drone technology into port logistics minimizes human error, significantly increases the speed of warehouse area audits, and guarantees absolute safety during the inspection of high-altitude structures.
